Lil Kayla says music isn’t her passion—but that hasn’t stopped the Cali rapper from blowing up with songs like 2019’s “Make His Pockets Hurt.” • Lil Kayla grew up in the Sunnydale area of San Francisco. She started rapping at a young age but soon quit when haters made it unfun. Fortunately, she resumed again. • She went semi-viral with her 2015 freestyle “I’m Different” and dropped her Ah Yung P mixtape in 2016. • In 2019 she released her K Nasty project, featuring the hit “Make His Pockets Hurt,” and opened shows for the City Girls.
