A riffy, aggressive alt-rock combo from Los Angeles, Liily emerged from the city's underground youth scene in 2018 with a string of indie singles and a debut EP that took its influences from bands like Rage Against the Machine and Foals.
Formed by singer Dylan Nash, guitarist Sam De La Torre, bassist Charlie Anastasis, and drummer Maxx Morando, Liily hail from various parts of the San Fernando Valley and Inland Empire. After a few years of honing their sound at Los Angeles house parties and warehouses, the four teenagers made their official debut in August 2018 with the single "Toro." The grungy rocker "Sold" followed shortly afterward, and both songs were later included on the band's first EP, I Can Fool Anybody in This Town, which was released in March 2019 by Hollywood indie Flush Records. A standalone single, "Wash," also arrived that September.
