L'Exotighost

L'Exotighost is a practitioner of the cult exotica genre, characterized by its blend of lounge jazz, film soundtracks, Latin and Polynesian rhythms and instruments, and escapist tropical soundscapes with vaguely sci-fi elements. L'Exotighost's first album, La Ola Oculta (2019), introduced the group's captivating array of sonic atmospheres, featuring unusual instruments such as theremin, vibraphone, shamisen, and marimba, as well as nature sounds. Gradually, the band managed to insert itself into the global exotica circuit by securing appearances in festivals such as San Diego's Tiki Oasis and Baja's Mexótica, as well as a distribution deal with U.S. specialist label High-Tide Recordings. Kamongo, the group's sophomore effort, appeared in 2022. Hawái Está En Tu Mente followed in 2025.
