About Lee Mathis

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I got my first guitar Christmas of 1993. A new Synsonics Sears acoustic guitar that I learned to play on. After selling that guitar to a buddy of mine, he gave it back to me years later, and I still have it to this day. Still write songs on it too. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Nice and Slow” This is one of the oldest songs that we still do to this day live almost every show. It's still one that I enjoy doing live. It talks about a love that is fading but will to give it another try and rekindle that fire they once had. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We've been fortunate to play Luckenbach 5-6 times a year and always honored for that. Been blessed to open for some legendary artists that we now call our friends, such as Ward Davis, Whitey Morgan, the Bellamy Brothers, Jason Boland, John Anderson.
