About Laura Mvula

Britain's Laura Mvula is a soulful vocalist known for her inventive, atmospheric mix of R&B, jazz, classical, and pop. She broke out in 2013 with Sing to the Moon, her critically acclaimed, Mercury Prize-nominated debut album. Her 2016 follow-up, The Dreaming Room, fared even better with fans and critics alike, and she soon branched out into theater and soundtrack work. Increased activity in 2021 -- beginning with an EP of alternate versions and continuing with a series of bright and artful pop-driven singles -- led to Pink Noise, Mvula's third album.
