About Kyle McEvoy
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I'll always remember seeing a local band called Bruhder play at a small coffee shop in Watertown, CT called Caffe Napoli when I was probably 13 years old. That's when I knew I wanted to play music for the rest of my life and do what they were doing What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dijon, Absolutely The Shivers, Charades Townes Van Zandt, Townes Van Zandt Dijon - Absolutely: Just imagine a mix of every genre you've ever heard at once with the most raw emotion and artistry possible. The Shivers - Charades: Such an amazing piece of songwriting history Townes Van Zandt - S/T: A perfect album Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Something Special (feat. Smile High & Antwaun Stanley)” This song means a lot to me as I got to collab with one of my favorite artists, Antwaun Stanley of Vulfpeck. It's such a positive song and I love hearing from people all the memories they have with this jam and the life of it's own it's taken on What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? A couple years back, I got to play a show in NYC in this beautiful church with my buddy Ben Talmi aka Sunshine Recorder. We played some songs of of our album Vol. 1 on piano and synth to an amazing crowd in the dark with candles lit everywhere Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I just want to continue to create as much as possible while I'm on this earth and encourage as many other musicians and artists as possible to do the same, I truly believe music is the universal language and the most sacred thing we have on earth
