Knorkator

A highly satirical and comedic industrial metal act, Germany's Knorkator was self-described as "Germany's most beloved band in the world." They formed in 1994 and their first real national exposure came about when their song "Ick Wer Zun Schwein" was entered in the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest. The band put on an over-the-top stage show, somewhere in the neighborhood of metal gods Gwar or Lordi mixed in with a bit of early Faith No More flair. The band has released a handful of comical heavy-ness over the years, from their debut EP, A, in 1995 to 2007's Das Nächste Album Aller Zeiten. In 2005, Knorkator released a live DVD entitled Zu Alt. ~ Chris True
