In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember singing "Carry your candle" on the children's choir at church. I was the little treble boy with the pretty voice and bright eyes and the crowd loved every minute of it. It was the first moment I realized just how unique my voice was. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beyoncé, The Lion King: The Gift Laura Mvula, Sing to the Moon Sampa the Great, As Above, So Below These albums, all from beautiful Black women from three different regions of the world empower me to be my authentic self in my daily life and in the way I approach my music. Tell us why you chose this song. “I Pray” I wrote this song in a period of my life when I strongly desired for a change of both my circumstances and my emotional state. The song transitions from the internal self ponderings to a declaration of Perseverance that still motivates me to date.
