Memphis rapper Kevo Muney has a noble mission: to “bring soul back to rap.” • Muney started singing blues and R&B at age four and carried those soulful influences with him when he shifted to rapping as a teen. • After a string of underground mixtapes, he made his major label debut with 2019’s Baby G.O.A.T., featuring fellow Memphis talents Tay Keith and Blocboy JB. • The gospel-tinged 2020 single “Amen” finds Muney and guest Kevin Gates counting their blessings.
