Chattanooga native Jaden Hossler—known professionally as jxdn—found social media success doing comedic bits with musical samples before he started singing his own alt-rock and trap music.
∙ Inspiration struck jxdn (pronounced “Jaden”) during a 2019 Juice WRLD concert, when he was singing along to “Empty” and realized he wanted to pursue music full time.
∙ Travis Barker signed jxdn as the first artist on his DTA Records label after hearing the teenager’s self-released “Comatose” single, which samples the Blink-182 drummer’s playing.
∙ His first two singles, “So What!” and “Angels & Demons,” both broke into the top 10 of Billboard’s Hot Alternative Songs chart in 2020.
∙ At age 19, jxdn was included on Billboard’s 2020 21 Under 21 list, alongside Noah Cyrus and Grammy winners Billie Eilish and Koffee.
