In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember making up a song melody with my voice, walking to the keyboard at night and figuring out the melody line on the keys using relative pitch. I was so excited that I could actually play it, since all my melodies were solely voice back then. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Covenhoven, The Wild and Free Switchfoot, Learning To Breathe twenty one pilots, Vessel The lyrics in these albums have influenced the metaphors in my own songs, as they have songs I grew up playing on guitar and singing as I learned riffs and chords by ear. If I couldn't find a tab, I would play the notes out until I had full chords. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Assures” I wrote "Assures" the same day I recorded vocals for it. I was working on a song about abandonment, when I discovered the power of God's opinion. Fighting tears, I stopped working on it and started recording Assures, one of the firsts of the album. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I remember playing in a band with some of my favorite people, and as I was off-stage playing one of my originals, a man was touched and recorded it. I love playing for smaller crowds and seeing the different ways people connect and react to my songs. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? The only thing on my bucket list is to keep growing, learning, and sharing about both of those things, but more specifically, I'd like to become a better singer.
