In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One year when I was little I got a drum set for Christmas. I spent all Christmas morning banging on the cymbals and toms. By noon on Christmas day, I had destroyed said drum set. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Joni Mitchell, Hejira Lana Del Rey, Norman F*****g Rockwell! Taylor Swift, evermore (deluxe version) I'm inspired by singer/songwriters. In particular, Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, and Joni Mitchell have inspired me in more ways than I can say; these albums have helped mold me as an artist. Tell us why you chose this song. “Ruminations” I wrote this song when I was GOING THROUGH IT. I still feel deeply connected to it. I'll never forget hearing it on the radio for the first time...all my emotions were just being played on the radio and I couldn't believe it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I freaked when "Ruminations" was played on the radio for the first time. I wouldn't shut up about it. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd like to make a jazz album someday. That seems very appealing to me.
