About Joseph Patrick Moore

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember banging away at the piano and being enthralled by the sound. I remember my mom playing songs on the piano or my uncle playing an organ that we had. I also remember my sister practicing the flute. Ultimately a creative musical atmosphere. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Metallica, Master of Puppets (Remastered) Miles Davis, Kind of Blue The Police, Ghost in the Machine (Remastered) Kind...was a seismic shift in 1959 coming from the era of Bebop into a more modern, fewer chord changes, slower tempo tune style and playing. Master..I love their energy. Ghost...Great songwriting, Rhythmic nuances, and fun yet meaningful lyrics. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Iraqi Peace Song” I was instantly grabbed by the rhythm and melody of this enchanting composition. On my version, I played and or programmed all the instruments. Everything you hear on this song is me. Additionally, I also mixed it and it was mastered by Rich Breen. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Touring with jazz great Earl Klugh and performing at Eric Clapton’s “Crossroads Festival'' (2010). Second, getting to work with Stewart Copeland of The Police, and playing Stewart’s original music at the Savannah GA Jazz Fest in 2008. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’ll probably never achieve all my goals in this lifetime but my hope is to continue to improve as a musician and improvisor. Ultimately, I’m always striving and searching for that perfect original composition.
