In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember we'd always sing along to Motown at home with my mum and sister, so loudly that the neighbours would knock on the walls. We'd harmonise the songs and take turns coming up with the best harmonies. I loved the joy and freedom! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? James Blake, James Blake Mariah Carey, Mariah Carey: Greatest Hits Nina Simone, Nina Simone and Piano! (Remastered) I've listened to these records so many times. I feel like I learned to sing by imitating Mariah and I learned to emote by imitating Nina. In James Blake, I found a new future, a sensitive, fragile pop that I connected with more than the mainstream. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Sea” The first song I shared with the world, it fuses my classical training with a burgeoning desire to write and sing songs, at one of the most painful and emotional times of my life. It represented a real catharsis.
