Pianist John Wilson focuses on contemporary music and has given several world premieres. He is also active as a chamber player and an orchestral pianist. Wilson began a chamber music partnership with flutist Sandra Slocum, and with her, he released his debut album, return, in 2019. Wilson has performed in duos with such luminaries as violinist Joshua Bell on piano and conductors Jeannette Sorrell and Bernard Labadie on harpsichord. Wilson released his debut solo album, Upon Further Reflection, in 2022; the album featured works by Tilson Thomas and Aaron Copland, as well as Earl Wild's arrangements of Gershwin songs.
