In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. It all started in churches from East Texas all the way up to the Bluegrass state where I heard Gospel. Hearing their voices and then adding my own flare as I grew older. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Allen Stone, Allen Stone J. Cole, 2014 Forest Hills Drive Macklemore, The Language of My World They were the albums that came to me at the perfect times in my life. Each one holds a huge space in my being. Many more on top of these but these were the 3 that came to me immediately. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Content” I grew up listening to the classics. How can I ever repay them for their impact? By making a song that pays tribute to the Late Coolio, Prince, and Rick James. My best work yet. Easy. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Seeing Allen Stone Play the Lucky You Lounge Stage, and then a week later I played the same stage. Easily the Best moment in my life. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Make music with my idols. Something real, but relatable. Something passionate but soothing to the soul. Something that is what it means to be human.
