About Jim Sharkey

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was about three years old. My dad had bought some Clancy Brothers LPs and I remember there distinctive Aran sweaters. On one of the albums there was a song called Brennan on the Moor. I thought it was about my uncle whose name was Johnny Brennan. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Clifford T. Ward, Home Thoughts from Abroad Paul Brady, Welcome Here Kind Stranger The Band, The Last Waltz (Deluxe Version) The Last Waltz is a classic I still listen to today. I loved Clifford T. Ward's beautiful, gentle songs. And Paul Brady's Welcome Here album was the first cassette I ever bought. His interpretation of traditional songs on this album is beyond compare Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “I'll Take Care of You” I like the innocence and gentleness of the song. It reminds me of home and the simple joys life offers.
