About Jeremy Riddle

Though Jeremy Riddle is a name long associated with Bethel Music, his solo career predates his tenure with the influential praise & worship collective. Born in 1977, Riddle grew up in New Jersey before landing in Southern California, where he split his time between serving as a youth pastor and growing his musical gifts. His first hit, “Sweetly Broken,” arrived in 2006 on Vineyard Music’s Varietal label. Its layering of chiming alt-rock across a base of praise & worship soon became Riddle’s trademark, one he brought to Bethel Music in 2011. His contributions to their success in the 2010s cannot be overstated; one of the many standout moments is 2012’s “This Is Amazing Grace,” an anthem that countless congregations perform every Sunday. Yet Riddle never fully relinquished his independence. Not long after reigniting his solo career in 2017 with More, he and his family relocated from Bethel Music’s Northern California base back to SoCal, from which Riddle dropped 2020’s Holy Ground (Live Around the World), a collection of fierce and passionate recordings drawn from his global appearances.
