Jennifer Licko

Jennifer Licko began her career at only ten years old and competed her way to a professional level. She studied Gaelic at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and holds an undergraduate degree in music education. Upon studying Gaelic song, she discovered how important the songs are to the history of Scotland, and living and studying there brought her to a deeper understanding of the music. Licko's extensive research on different types of Celtic folk songs led her to her desire to learn to sing a traditional song while employing a modern-day interest, and thus, Cave of Gold was born. ~ Maria Konicki Dinoia
