About Jaydin Donte Geer

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories has to be the first time I heard Kanye West's 'Through The Wire' track on the radio. The track was catchy, fun and provocative. I must have been 3 or 4 years old, but I'll never forget what that track awoke in me. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Childish Gambino, Because the Internet Skrillex, Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites Tyler, The Creator, Wolf In middle school, these albums helped me see how sound can always be "future-forward-thinking." These records encapsulate what it means to be a musician—pushing the envelope, being abnormal, and being unapologetically yourself. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Doomsday” This track highlights my musicianship and attention to detail. Every moment on here has some intention and I firmly believe this track is one of my best-executed songs—from my vulnerability to my cadence and even my transparency. Doomsday is a 10/10. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Honestly, when my short film contributed to my overall success as a musician I started to receive comments from people saying I made them feel safe. Nothing is more humbling than being able to put out work that people can identify themselves with. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I need to release a project that changes the world so that when I die someone can be like, "Damn, this record changed the world."
