An early musical memory of mine was going to my grandmother's house as a kid every summer, and she would always play Anita Baker for me. We both loved her. Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brandy, Full Moon D'Angelo, Voodoo Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill These albums are some of the most influential bodies of work for my personal music journey. They're full of lush harmonies, impeccable vocals, and honest storytelling. To me, that's 3 elements that make a great R&B album. Tell us why you chose this song. “Where Have You Been (Introlude)” This song is special to me because I wrote it during a time when I was really excited about finding new romantic love. It's also a nod to self love and discovery which to me, is the most important way to attract love of yourself. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Touring with Ms. Gladys Knight has been the most memorable moment of my career so far. She's taught me so much about longevity as an artist, stage presence & comfortability, and keeping a mystique and some class about yourself. She's legendary. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Working with Pharrell is on my bucket list. Has to happen.
