About Jasiel Nuñez

Ariel Camacho inspired a generation of música mexicana singer-songwriters, none more so than Jasiel Nuñez. The composer from Guadalajara, Mexico, is the golden pen of the corridos-tumbados age, infusing brash requinto earworms with refreshingly introspective melancholy. Born in 2000, Nuñez got his first taste of fame at age 15, uploading covers to social media while diligently honing his songcraft. He debuted in 2019 with the romantic single “Te Amo (Para Siempre),” and his album Vueltas De La Vida arrived the following year, unpacking his tumultuous battle with depression. During this time, Nuñez befriended rising tumbado star Peso Pluma, eventually writing some of his biggest hits, including “LAGUNAS,” “Rosa Pastel,” and “BIPOLAR”—also popping up on guest vocals. In 2023, he signed to the superstar's label, Double P Records, triggering an adventurous career reinvention that has embraced house music on “Exclusive” and even drawing reggaetón wild child Yng Lvcas into his downtrodden world on “Que Loco Es.”
