About Jamie Breiwick
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I clearly remember playing music on my father's reel to reel tape machine. Picking up the trumpet for the first time in 5th grade and being gifted me first guitar in high school. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alva Noto, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Insen Brian Eno, Ambient 1: Music for Airports Miles Davis, In a Silent Way I have a preference for melody and all of these records toss everything aside, strip away everything that is unessential, leaving bare simplicity and beauty. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Jewel (feat. John Tate & Matt Wilson) (Live)” This is a piece I wrote about a small hotel in Manhattan that my wife and I stayed at several summers in a row. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Making music with my friends in the moment — Ivy House, Stoughton Opera House, The Highbury, The Jazz Estate. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Bucket list for me is to keep creating until I can't anymore. To leave a body of work that tells people who I am/was.
