Gill Landry, The Ballad of Lawless Soirez Leonard Cohen, Thanks for the Dance Natalia Lafourcade, Musas (Un Homenaje al Folclore Latinoamericano en Manos de Los Macorinos), Vol. 2 [feat. Los Macorinos] Gill Landry’s Ballad of Lawless Soirez shifted my path through storytelling. Musas by Natalia Lafourcade taught me melody can be art. Tell us why you chose this song. “Lovers Who Lie” My song “Lovers Who Lie” is one of my favourites I’ve written. I love the lyrics because they leave space for ambiguity — letting listeners bring their own story into the song. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my favourite career moments was playing Riverfest Elora. The energy was electric, the band was locked in, and having so many friends and family there made it unforgettable. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My bucket list is simple: keep writing music that matters to me and perform it around the world.
