About Jacob Kulick

In the suburbs outside Allentown, Pennsylvania, singer/songwriter Kulick found inspiration from dark emotions, adding pop sense to pain-filled alternative rock anthems, like a blend of Twenty One Pilots and Imagine Dragons. After years gathering an audience as a solo artist, he signed a deal with RCA in 2017 and issued his official label debut, "Ghost," in 2018. Born Jacob Kulick in West Penn, he started as a bedroom producer, learning guitar and drums on the side. While still a high-school student in the nearby town of Tamaqua, he played in a band called Story of Another. After graduation, they disbanded and he moved to Philadelphia. There, he worked on his own solo material, which included 2009's For My Sanity and 2013's acoustic EP Runaway, and toured the local circuit. In 2014, he released his second EP, Truth and Liars, followed by High in Limbo in 2015. He moved to New York City in 2017 for work, producing the projects PRJ001 and H, which was enough to entice RCA Records. Kulick signed a deal with them that summer, issuing his major-label breakthrough, "Ghost," in 2018. The booming anthem rose into the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart that summer. ~ Neil Z. Yeung
