About Jack R. Berry
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I started in a tiny farm town called Terra Bella, California, playing drums in my elementary marching band. The beat was rough, the sticks too big, but that rhythm lit a fire in me that’s never gone out. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Billy Idol, Rebel Yell Shania Twain, Come On Over The Smashing Pumpkins, Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness (2012 Remastered) My top three albums are Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by Smashing Pumpkins, Rebel Yell by Billy Idol, and Come On Over by Shania Twain, each one shaped my love for rhythm, emotion, and raw energy. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bakersfield Blues (Hes Got the Money, Not the Looks)” Bakersfield Blues is about a woman I loved who chose money over love. She left me for a man who had more cash but no soul. It’s a song about heartbreak, pride, and realizing that some people trade gold hearts for gold wallets.
