In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I used to sing Jessi Colter songs into a curling iron and rock out to Pat Benatar when I was a little girl. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jessi Colter, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Wanted! The Outlaws Loretta Lynn, The Definitive Collection: Loretta Lynn Neko Case, Fox Confessor Brings the Flood I think this Fox Confessor is perfect from start to finish. Sterling writing and killer vocals. The Outlaw alum was a staple of my early childhood and planted the seeds for me to be a writer or country music. Loretta Lynn is my north star for country Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “You and Me Against the World” I wrote this song for my husband when people were criticizing us for leaving our home town to move to Nashville for my music career. We made the move in spite of all of the doubters. He believed in me and we proved them wrong. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being interviewed by Rolling Stone. No-one can ever take that away from me. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to sing on the Grand Ol Opry and at The Roman Auditorium.
