About Ilse, Ivonne y Mimi

Originally known as the '80s pop group Flans, Ilse.Ivonne.Mimi is the working name for the pop trio featuring Ilse Maria Olivo Schewein Furth, Ivonne Margarita Guevara Garcia, and Irma "Mimi" Hernández Ochoa. Beginning with their 1985 self-titled debut, Flans were one of the most successful pop acts in Mexico in the '80s, known for such hits as "Timido," "Las Mil y una Noche," and "Corre, Corre." Although they broke up in 1990, after a nine-year hiatus Furth, Garcia, and Ochoa reunited for several tours and comeback albums. Due to an ongoing legal dispute with a former manager, after the release of their 1999 reunion album, Hadas, the trio was prevented from using the name Flans, and subsequently adopted the name Ilse.Ivonne.Mimi. In 2014, they released the album Primera Fila Flans, which achieved gold status during its first week of release. ~ Matt Collar
