About New Hope Club

The British pop trio New Hope Club formed in 2015 at the suggestion of a manager. A few months later, the group earned a life-changing cosign from UK pop-rockers The Vamps. • George Smith was an aspiring solo artist when he met a potential manager who was interested in forming a group. Smith soon discovered Blake Richardson, with whom he immediately connected. Reece Bibby later joined the group after leaving the boy band Stereo Kicks, who’d appeared on The X Factor. • The group’s first release was their 2015 cover of “Wake Up,” a single by the British pop-rock band The Vamps. The cover garnered more than 350,000 video views and caught the attention of the song’s originators. • The Vamps quickly signed New Hope Club to their Steady Records label and released the trio’s 2017 debut EP, Welcome to the Club. Led by the hit single “Fixed,” the project earned New Hope Club a Teen Choice Award nomination for Next Big Thing. • In 2018, New Hope Club delivered their sophomore project, Welcome to the Club, Pt. 2, and appeared on the soundtrack of the animated film Early Man. • On Valentine’s Day 2020, the group released their eponymous debut album, which hit No. 5 on the UK charts.
