ICE NINE KILLS

Originally formed as a ska-punk outfit, American theatricore band ICE NINE KILLS took their name from the lethal substance in Kurt Vonnegut’s novel Cat’s Cradle. ∙ They scored their first success with 2014’s The Predator Becomes the Prey which made the Top 20 on Billboard’s Hard Rock chart. ∙ An ambitious concept album featuring tracks inspired by horror films, 2018’s The Silver Scream was a Top 30 Pop hit. ∙ Stranger Things actress Chelsea Talmadge added guest vocals to The Silver Scream’s darkly cinematic “Love Bites.” ∙ In 2019, Trivium frontman Matt Heafy collaborated with the band on an acoustic version of “Stabbing in the Dark,” released on the expanded The Silver Scream (FINAL CUT). ∙ They delivered some scares in 2020 with The Silent Stream, a Halloween livestream event combining 2019 concert footage with staged scenes of band members and a masked stalker.
