In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad always had music on around the house, Van Halen and ZZ Top caught my ear first. Though, my first live music memory was watching Hayes Carll at The Old Quarter in Galveston, Texas in 2005. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? John Mayer, Where the Light Is: John Mayer Live In Los Angeles Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Hard Promises (Remastered) ZZ Top, Deguello Where the Light is might be one of the best live albums ever, pound for pound between the three sets, it has a bit of everything. Deguello is the definition of cool. Hard Promises is so hard to beat. My favorite record at the moment. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Long Lost Friend” My grandpa died a week after I was born, so I never got to meet him. I've only heard stories about him and how my life would be better if he was around. This song is for him and our situation. I know it'll be the most special song I'll ever have. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment of my career so far is headlining the legendary Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos, TX. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to play at Gruene Hall, Old Quarter, Luckenbach, and Red Rocks. While those are bucket-list venues, I'm really interested in playing anywhere where people will listen. I just want to play the music I want to play as much as I can.
