I Muvrini

I Muvrini are a French (Corsican) regional vocal group formed in the late '70s around Alain and Jean-François Bernardini. They are one of the most recognized bands of their kind and, throughout their long career, have worked with many artists including Sting, Luz Casal, MC Solaar, and Véronique Samson. From 1979 to 2007, the band released around 30 albums, both studio and live. Issued in 2007, I Muvrini et les 500 Choristes was I Muvrini's seventh gold record since 1994. The band's style has evolved from more traditional forms of Corsican polyphony to poppier approaches, though I Muvrini have never abandoned their native language at any time. ~ Olivier Duboc
