About I Like Trains
A Leeds, England post-rock quintet that won a considerable amount of critical acclaim right out of the box, I Like Trains self-released their first single, "Stainless Steel," in early 2005. By 2006, the band had won coverage and praise in a handful of mainstream publications, and a record deal. Their EP Progress Reform led to even more press and a slot at the South by Southwest Music Festival. They charted in the U.K. with their 2007 full-length debut, Elegies to Lessons Learnt, then formed their own I Love Music label for the follow-ups. A documentary about the band pressing on without label support and while starting families premiered in 2016. Titled A Divorce Before Marriage, it featured an original score by the group. ~ Chris True & Marcy Donelson
