In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was shown Michael Jackson's Thriller music video and although I loved the music, I was terrified. I ran home and told my parents, who were upset with the neighbor. That's when I understood how music + visuals could impact people. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? The Smiths, The Queen Is Dead The Strokes, Is This It The Strokes This came out right when I was wondering if there would be a pathway to making music for me. I think it was the leader of the pack of a chancing indie scene and opened up a whole universe of possibilities. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Tormenta” I have a special connection to that song because after years of not being able to contribute musically to my old band I wrote this song and I spent months mixing and tweaking and it dawned on me that I was able to do this and do it well: be on my own What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Meeting and talking to Tony Bennett. That’s it! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I still think that my best material hasn’t been written and thus I will keep writing.
