In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Watching the movie Purple Rain blew my mind. Also the intros to 80s TV shows like Knight Rider, Airwolf, Transformers, and M.A.S.K. live in my head rent free. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Billy Idol, Rebel Yell Michael Jackson, Thriller Prince & The Revolution, Purple Rain Soundtrack from the Motion Picture These albums have everything that's so awesome about the 80s! Great song writing, hooks, fantastic musicianship, and lots of fat drums, synths, and guitar! Plus the aesthetic is the greatest of all time! I'm a huge fan of the show Miami Vice, and wanted to write something that could have featured on its soundtrack. It kickstarted a new musical direction for me, back to where it all began - the 80s!
