About Healthcare
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I wanted the first CD I ever owned to be a rebellion so I purchased "American Beauty” by the Grateful Dead solely because of the band name. I’ll never forget when I heard jangly acoustic guitars coming out of the stereo instead of screams What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Boards of Canada, Music Has the Right to Children Emmylou Harris, Wrecking Ball A few I’ve been revisiting lately are Wrecking Ball by Emmylou Harris, So by Peter Gabriel, and Music Has The Right To Children by Boards of Canada. Classics for a reason. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Dollars on Dimes” “Dollars on Dimes” is immensely personal. I wrote it the day I learned what my insurance costs would be after leaving a job, and it speaks to the unpredictability and weight that anyone with a chronic illness carries in our country. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first day in the studio for this project was my first in twenty years, and it felt like a weight lifted. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’d love to write a song worthy of the love and appreciation I have for my partner, Tess. But I’m not sure I’ll ever be capable.
