A collaboration between award-winning sibling blues-rock duo the Bihlman Brothers (drummer Scot Bihlman and guitarist Jabo Bihlman) and virtuosic King's X bassist and vocalist dUg Pinnick, Grinder Blues formed after the trio worked together on some film and television production music. Steeped in the blues yet brimming with nervy, esoteric, and forward-thinking modern rock flourishes, the band issued its eponymous debut album, which was produced by Miles Fulwider (Wynton Marsalis, Norah Jones, Willie Nelson, Chick Corea), under the Grinder Blues moniker via Megaforce Records in the fall of 2014. ~ James Christopher Monger
