Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up in a sheltered Christian home, my earlier music memories were of CCM artists. One I latched on to was Stephen Curtis Chapman's Dive album. I had that CD in my portable CD player on repeat for so long as a kid.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Cities Five Score and Seven Years Ago Nothing Is Sound These albums shaped my tastes and outlook on music as a whole. They are emo albums through and through, but ask questions bigger than the selfish angst but rather explore what it means to be on the earth and how to just be human.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “I'm Left Here Sinking” This was the last song I wrote for Summer Rain and it was by far the quickest to come together, but in my opinion turned out to be the best of the bunch. It explores the struggle of devastating heartbreak but with a glimpse of hope.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Releasing my first full album. It was the ultimate feeling of pride I had felt, even with no exposure or success derived from it. It's about making music more than anything.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Even though it's not about the money, getting a paycheck from streams would be a good start, I suppose. Otherwise, it's just all about getting more music out there.
