In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. We had a player-piano in our living room going up, and as kids my siblings and I used to pick a scroll and take turns pumping the pedals on the piano as the rest of us danced. Music was and still is an integral part of our home life to this day. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beck, Morning Phase Fleet Foxes, Shore Local Natives, Gorilla Manor With the use of electronic and natural instrumentation, these albums to me are deep dives into expressions of a feeling or experience that completely pulled me in the first time I ever listened. Tell us why you chose this song. “Staid” Staid is an anthem/reminder to stand firmly in love and humanity, to keep an inquisitive mind and to remain open to change; especially when what is popular feels both alluring and inhumane. It encourages one to challenge a culture of injustice.
