Playing the Recorder (a family of woodwind instruments known as internal duct flutes: with a whistle mouthpiece) in elementary school. Songbird, Mister Magic, and I Want Jesus to Walk With Me are all songs that helped shape my sound as a saxophonist from middle school to college.
