About Grace Carter
British pop singer Grace Carter made her debut with the 2017 single “Silence,” a heart-rending song about the absentee father who’s barely played a role in her life. • Carter got started in music after her step-father—former musician and music journalist Paul Phillips—bought her a guitar when she turned 13, taught her a handful of chords, and challenged her to write a song in a week. • In 2017, following the release of “Silence,” Carter landed the opening spot on Dua Lipa’s Self-Titled Tour. Carter has also opened for Haim and the English singer Rag’n’Bone Man. • Carter released her first EP, Why Her Not Me, in 2018. The title track is also about her father.
