Featuring CeeLo Green, Big Gipp, Khujo, and T-Mo, Goodie Mob was a renowned hip-hop group recognized as pioneers of America’s Southern rap scene. ∙ Goodie Mob was born out of the Atlanta-based hip-hop musical collective Dungeon Family, alongside fellow rap legends Outkast in the early ’90s. ∙ “Cell Therapy,” their 1995 smash hit, was the group’s first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, and it reached No. 1 on the Hot Rap Songs chart. ∙ Three of their LPs received Gold certification in under a year, including 1998’s Still Standing and 1999’s World Party, which both earned the accolade in one month. ∙ Green found success as a solo artist and producer, landing five entries on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and earning five Grammy Awards among his 18 nominations. ∙ Reunited in 2011, Goodie Mob’s subsequent LP, Age Against the Machine, peaked at No. 5 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart in 2013. ∙ Each album released by the group through 2013 made the Billboard 200, including 1998’s Still Standing, which debuted at No. 6.
