In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Playing SingStar with my older cousins. I'd belt out A Whole New World, I Am the Walrus, Reach For The Stars. A real mixed bag. It introduced me to a lot of different music. I'd put on mini concerts and be determined to get the high score. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Fiona Apple, When the Pawn... Kendrick Lamar, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers Melanie Martinez, Cry Baby (Deluxe Edition) I love artists who look at the darker elements of the human condition. My music is so inspired by that. When The Pawn cracks open individualised darkness. Mr. Morale dissects societal darkness. Cry Baby spins both into catchy pop. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Permanent Record” This is my ode to the digital age. It's dark, brooding, a bit paranoid. I wanted to create a sound about being trapped in a surveillance state. It’s a song that lingers, just like the permanent digital record we leave behind. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most surreal moments of my life was the first time I heard a crowd singing my lyrics back to me. Seeing that people had connected with my music on such a personal level was really hopeful and heartening. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Everything!!! A sold out headline show would be a great start.
