About Germ

The rapper Germ went from viral skate videos and Vine freestyles to rugged, guttural songs that consistently streamed in the millions. • Born in Florida to Haitian parents, Germ moved to Atlanta when he was nine years old. • In 2013, when he was still primarily a skateboarder, Germ posted a Vine freestyle that impressed Florida rapper Fat Nick. The pair formed the collective The Buffet Boys with Pouya and released “Drop ’em Off”—Germ’s first-ever song—the next year. • Germ caught the attention of the New Orleans rap duo $uicideBoy$ in the mid-2010s. He would eventually sign to their G•59 label and work extensively with the group. • In 2017, Germ scored his viral breakthrough with “Slip on a Banana Clip,” a collaboration with $uicideBoy$. The song appeared on the 2017 joint EP DIRTIERNASTIER$UICIDE.
