In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a child I remember listening to John Lennon & Yoko Ono's Imagine on the radio and weeping. It was at that moment that I felt the power of a lyric and song. I wanted in. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Joni Mitchell, Joni Mitchell (Song to a Seagull) Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life Tears for Fears, Songs from the Big Chair Bonus Tracks Tears for Fears- the mood, lyrics, vocals, drums- powerful. Music that hasn't aged at all. Joni Mitchell is my favourite songwriter ever. Nobody writes lyrics, melodies and chords like her. Magical. Stevie Wonder, smooth and soulful. Tell us why you chose this song. “O' Zephyr (Radio Edit) (Radio Edit)” O' Zephyr came to me literally on a zephyr one morning when I was feeling creatively stuck. It landed upon me and told me to write a new album which came quickly, liberating and inspiring me to create my best work to date. The song is very giving! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening for Canadian legendary songwriter Jane Siberry, performing at Womad, having Toni Childs and Boy George praise my music and production and buying Paul Kelly a hot dog and beer! Making my albums was also life affirming. Music is magical! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to sing at The State Theatre, The Opera House. Everywhere. I feel my music reaching out to others so I'm happy about that. I practise being in the moment and being content wherever I'm placed. Some more recognition would be nice.
