In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I always wanted to be one of the band members making the music I was listening to on my parents' stereo. I'd set up pots and pans and would imagine being the drummer. Or singing into spatulas and spoons. From then on it was my quest to make music. Tell us why you chose this song. “Reparations” I wrote this during the turbulent year when George Floyd was killed by police. It was a mix of therapy & catharsis. It's not about literal financial reparations, but a feeling that our culture owes reflection on centuries of racism & oppression.
