About GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE

A chart-topping boy band with seemingly countless hits to their name, GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE is one of Japan’s most successful pop outfits.

∙ Formed in 2011 under the umbrella of iconic pop collective EXILE, the seven-member group officially debuted the following year with their first single, “Brave It Out.”
∙ Their 2013 debut LP, Generations, went Gold, a feat the band has matched with four additional albums and 11 singles.
∙ More than 20 GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE singles have landed in the Japanese Top 10, and they lodged their first No. 1 with 2015’s “All For You.”
∙ In 2015, they were named Goodwill Ambassadors by the Hong Kong Tourism Bureau, a role they reprised in 2020 when Japan enlisted them to help strengthen ties with the United Arab Emirates.
∙ Dance is a key element of the band’s appeal—five of the seven members are dancers—and they earned a Best Choreography award for “Ageha” at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards Japan.
∙ Vocalist Ryota Katayose is also an actor who starred in several TV shows and films, including Kiss Me at the Stroke of Midnight and the animated Ride Your Wave.
