In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Probably listening to my dad playing the family piano when I was small. It used to belong to my mum's father and it's still in the family home. Dad would largely play from memory, or work out chords and melodies by ear. He'd enjoy improvising too. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alva Noto, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Insen Medeski, Martin & Wood, Shack-Man Rush, Moving Pictures Remastered I've been a fan of Rush since I heard The Body Electric on Tommy Vance's Friday Rock Show. Ryuichi Sakamoto was just an astonishing composer, innovator and human. MMW have been an inspiration since I first heard them on John Scofield's A Go Go.
