About From Indian Lakes

From Indian Lakes began as the solo project of California-based singer/songwriter Joey Vannucchi. Growing up on 40 acres of land near Yosemite National Park, the multi-instrumentalist first gravitated toward drums, playing in various bands throughout his youth before eventually focusing on guitar and songwriting. The band released its debut LP, The Man with Wooden Legs, in 2009. The 2012 independent release Able Bodies was a bit of a commercial breakthrough for From Indian Lakes, earning accolades from Google Play, which listed them as one of the top unsigned bands for that year. They continued to tour hard and in 2013 signed a deal with Triple Crown Records, which released the band's third LP, 2014's Absent Sounds. ~ Timothy Monger
