About Frankley Everlong

A fiery Swedish pop-punk trio with a flair for infusing power chords and pick slides with new wave and disco, Frankley Everlong emerged in 2009 as a straight-up punk unit. Based out of the southeastern city of Kalmar, the band issued its debut long-player, Songs for the Broken, in 2014, delivering an anthemic blast of hook-driven and relatively traditional-sounding pop-punk. Looking to tinker with the formula and carve out their own unique spot in the scene, Tommy Carlsson (vocals, guitar, keys), Niklas Petersson (bass), and Olof Måhlgren (drums) began integrating new wave synths and swaggering disco beats into the mix, culminating in the release of their sophomore full-length effort, the Eclipse Records-issued Till the Dance Do Us Part. ~ James Christopher Monger
